Social Ministry at LSLC

Hyperthermia Prevention Shelter for Fairfax Homeless.
Living Savior is helping to support FACETS hypothermia shelter via Bethlehem Lutheran Church. We will be proving a hot dinner meal for 40 folks on December 28th and dropping off lunches for the next day. We are collecting food donations and financial donations. We have all the chicken already donated. Need for dinner: canned carrots, canned cut green beans, broad egg noodles, butter rolls, desserts (cupcakes), aluminum pans (13x9). Need for lunches: Paper lunch bags (40), baggies (100), white bread, sliced deli Turkey, lettuce, tomatoes, whole oranges, individual bagged chips, individual bagged cookies, individual condiments ketchup (20), mayonnaise (20), jelly (1 jar).

Angel Tree - We will be supporting FACET and Artimis House for gifts for children and parents who are facing a tough Christmas. Please see our church bulletins for more information in late November.

Thanksgiving baskets have been delivered for this year. We were able to generously support about 80 families to have food for a Thanksgiving feast.

Concordia Lutheran in Triangle, VA Needs Your Help! Please help us in providing desperately needed food to more than 100 families per week. Drop off your food / pantry donations at the church or provide anon-line donation

Disaster Relief:

Lutheran Immigration & Refugee Service – Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service is seeking volunteers to help refugees with airport transportation, house and meals. In addition, LIRS needs financial support to continue its assistance to Afghan families. Living Savior is organizing a team to help LIRS. If you would like to join us, contact eakolton@gmail.com. Moving in / Moving out Kits – Please donate new home basics for those transitioning in/out of Domestic Violence Shelter House (collecting items quarterly). Drop off items at the LSLC. Contact Miki Kolton
