Men's Fellowship Dinner Last Thursday of the Month

Mens Fellowship Dinner

The last Thursday of every month, the Men’s Fellowship group meets for dinner and a fun program.   The monthly fellowship dinner helps to unite the men and guests in fellowship at Living Savior.

Living Savior Lutheran Church is located just south of Fairfax City on Route 123. Living Savior Lutheran is a welcoming church that serves the Lord. Living Savior ministries have something for everyone, young and old. Our men’s ministry is particularly active with a variety of events that promote service and fellowship.

Seventh Annual LSLC Men's Retreat September 25-27, 2015

The seventh annual men's retreat was held at Roslyn Retreat Center, Richmond, Virginia, September 25-27th. This year's theme: "Entitled Beggars".

The facilitator for the retreat was Pastor (Retired) Philip Kuehnert. The recurring theme throughout the weekend was gratitude. As Christians we can do nothing to earn salvation. Rather, it is through the suffering, death, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that we can approach God in faith. The gift of salvation is only through the grace of God. Through this free gift, we are entitled to spend an eternity with Him. Since we need His forgiveness, and approach Him empty-handed, we are "beggars". Hence, the dichotomy of the "entitled beggar".

Each participant had the opportunity to write 4 letters to people who had influenced their life, starting with high school. At the chapel service on Sunday morning, 4 men read one of their letters. Each heartfelt letter was powerful, reflecting the gratitude for the impact this family member, friend, pastor, or teacher had on their life.

As in years past, the retreat gave each man the renew their faith, and celebrate the close friendships at LSLC.
